A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES

Halong Bay

The islands of Ha Long Bay number in the thousands. We got experience of the islands up close, as we checked out this cave full of amazing stalagtites and stalactites. Most of the islands were quite inhospitable due to the geologicaly make up. It was quite a lesson fo us getting to the see the folds of sedimentary rocks and curving bends of huge boulders. Another interesting part of Ha Long Bay is the government sponsored fishing village, the entire village is floating one room houses lashed together, there is even a grade school for the children. We were greeting by the locals who were rowing their woven rattan boats which seem to just barely touch the water due to their light weight.

Hoi An

Hoi An has over 200 tailors that are ready and waiting to create a whole new wardrobe for you. We enjoyed the laid back relaxing atmosphere that the town offered, as well as the tailoring services. It was also in Hoi An where we got to enjoy the surf of the South China Sea, even though it was only body surfing.
